Laura and Adam chose the Waterfall Deck at picturesque Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens at Brookfield for their ceremony. Their brief for their ceremony was classic, timeless, and romantic. Laura wanted the fairytale wedding, with a fabulous gown and a tiara. But they also wanted the ceremony to be light and fun.
Laura arrived at the ceremmony in a vintage Jaguar from Wheels to Weddings, accompanied by her three bridesmaids wearing emerald green. The ceremony space was styled elaboratley with a circular arbour from Twin Event. In fitting with their classic theme, Laura walked down the aisle on the arm of her father to Pachelbel's Canon in D.
Laura and Adam first met on a camping trip organised by a mutual group of friends. Laura realised that Adam was a capable man to have around and thought he would come in handy if ever she had a spider to wrangle, a tyre to change, or some heavy thing which needed lifting.
Adam was interested in Laura, but the distance between their homes put her out of his "radius". Until he was smitten by her witty banter and he realised that his face was aching from smiling whenever Laura was around.
Celebrant Cheryl Landsberry told the story of the couple's first meeting and of their adventures together leading up to their magical wedding day.
The couple also created a memories box during their ceremony, in which they placed their wedding invitation and save-the-date magnet, a menu from their favourite restaurant, a copy of their wedding vows, and a letter to each other to be opened in five years from their wedding date.
Photographer Bernadette Draffin captured some gorgeous romantic memories of the day.
Laura left this review for Celebrant Cheryl Landsberry:
"Cheryl was the most organised, warm-hearted, sweetest celebrant you could ask for. She takes care of absolutely everything you need for the actual 'getting married part'. The script for our ceremony was so beautiful and personalised. Cheryl really made an effort to get to know us when she wrote us the first draft for our ceremony. She put a lot of effort into our rehearsal too which made us feel SO comfortable on the day of the wedding. She even gave us some excellent practical tips for places to hide tissues if you get teary and how to help the photographer get some good photos (like slowing down when putting on the rings!). If you are after a sweet, light-hearted, a little funny but also sincere and heart-warming ceremony, then I cannot recommend Cheryl highly enough." 💓
