Tucked away in a private corner of Redland Bay, the couple’s chosen park felt like a hidden oasis. Towering trees, dappled sunlight, and the gentle sounds of nature set the scene for an intimate outdoor ceremony. It was the perfect spot—private, tranquil, and close to the heart of what mattered most: family.

Pop Up Weddings Bayside transformed the space with a stunning bamboo arbour, draped in flowing white fabric and adorned with arrangements of burgundy and dusty pink florals. The colours offered a striking contrast against the natural greens of the park, adding a touch of elegance and romance without overpowering the relaxed vibe. It was simple, stylish, and utterly breathtaking.

Natalie and Roman kept their guest list to those closest to their hearts—close family, dear friends, and their three children, all under five. The atmosphere was warm and joyful as the couple exchanged vows under the bamboo arbour. Pop Up Weddings Bayside thought of every detail, even providing a mat for the children to sit on, making sure they were part of the moment but also able to relax and play. It was a ceremony shaped by laughter, a few happy tears, and a genuine sense of togetherness.

Roman looked dapper in his burgundy checked sports jacket, paired with chinos and a matching burgundy tie. A pink and burgundy boutonniere added a fresh floral touch, tying him perfectly to the ceremony’s colour palette. Natalie stunned in an ivory dropped shoulder dress, her gold shimmery veil catching the afternoon light, and a gorgeous bouquet of burgundy and pale pink blooms in hand.

Their son Raph, just two, stole the show as ring bearer, dressed in burgundy trousers and a vest. The couple’s daughters were picture-perfect in pastel sequin and tulle dresses, adding sparkle and whimsy to the day. The whole family looked coordinated yet comfortable—just right for an outdoor celebration with little ones.

Pop Up Wedding at W.H. Yeo Park, Victoria Point, Brisbane

Helen and Rhys are busy people. They have jobs, a baby, and a home to maintain. They wanted to be married, but didn't want the fuss, formality or expense of a traditional wedding. The couple chose the Pop Up Wedding package from Elope Brisbane which includes your celebrant, photographer, Kombi transportation, flowers, hair and makeup, ceremony styling and wedding cake. https://elopebrisbane.com.au/elopement.../pop-up-weddings/

Their wedding day was a blustery afternoon, with showers possible, but Helen and Rhys decided to move their ceremony location to a more protected park by the bay at Victoria Point. W.H. Yeo Park was set up by Mel and Deb from Miss Weddings, with an arbour and bamboo chairs. A barrel was added to be used for the signing of the marriage certificates.

Helen had her hair secured with fancy pins in a regal upstyle by Suzie from An Eye for Style. Even in the gusty conditions, her hair was immaculate. Helen chose a natural make up which enhanced her classic features. She chose a boho style wedding dress with drop sleeves from Desert Moon Bridal, which was just gorgeous. Her bouquet consisted of wildflowers with a pop of yellow.

Helen arrived at the ceremony with her bridesmaids, mum, and daughter in the bright orange 1973 Kombi, Busta Rydes. She walked down the aisle to the song, "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri.

The bridesmaids wore forest green dresses, and the flower girls pretty much did their own thing while looking adorably cute, as one year olds tend to do.

Rhys wore a sage green jacket with a matching tie. Beside him stood his sister, in a striking forest green pants suit, and his brother, relaxed in chinos and a white shirt.

Their ceremony, which I created with lots of input from the couple, was a twist on the traditional marriage ceremony, with a few laughs and a focus on family.

Pop Up Wedding at a Thornlands backyard

Sharlene and Adam decided to marry in the backyard of their parent’s home and entrusted the team at Pop Up Weddings Bayside to coordinate the wedding day of their dreams. Being December, the couple decided to hold their ceremony later on a Saturday afternoon to avoid the heat of the day.

Miss Weddings set up a circular arbour with foliage and flowers of orange, pink, and cream, which matched with the flowers in Sharlene’s bouquet and Adam’s bouttoniere, and the flowers atop the wedding cake. Maid of Honour, Robyn, wore a coral dress, which tied the colour palette together.

Sharlene wore a beautiful A Line lace off the shoulder dress with a mocha underlay. She wore a veil attached to her curled hair, with a pretty side hair clip, and coordinated her jewellery with a bracelet, drop necklace and earrings. Groom Adam wore a cream coloured suit, with a white shirt, black bow tie and black pocket square.

As the shade slipped onto the lawn area, guests took their seats, glad of the breeze from the bay. Adam walked down the aisle with his best man Nathan and his parents, to an instrumental version of Thinking out Loud. Then the guests held their breath as beautiful bride, Sharlene walked down the aisle, preceded by her Maid of Honour, and accompanied by both her mother and father, to an instrumental version of "Can you Feel the Love Tonight" from the Lion King.

After a short and sweet ceremony officiated by Cheryl Landsberry, the couple signed their marriage certificates and walked back down the aisle , hand in hand, to “Come and Get your Love” by Redbone, as their guests blew celebratory bubbles.

After some photos around the tended gardens with photographer Romana Saeheng, the wedding party and their guests enjoyed a catered outdoor reception on the back deck under the starry skies.

Sharlene and Adam are still on a high with such glowing memories of their wedding day. They wrote,” Thank you for all your efforts to make it a great wedding. Our family and friends told us lots of positive words about you and the ceremony.”

Karlla and Isaac were hoping for sunshine on their wedding day, but when the skies turned grey, they were glad to have such a handy backup venue in the rotunda at the Lighthouse Restaurant at Cleveland.

The couple left all the organising in the hands of the team at Pop Up Weddings Bayside. Miss Weddings transformed the rotunda into a ceremony space, with white Americana chairs tied with pale pink bows. A white hexagon shaped arbour styled with greenery and pale pink flowers was set at the front of the ceremony space, framing the bay views.

Karlla was stunning in a white fitted lace dress, her hair and makeup were by Suzie from An Eye for Style. Grom Issac looked smart in a blue suit with silver tie and pale pink pocket sqare. The bridesmaids wore pale pink, and the groomsmen wore pale pink ties.

Celebrant Cheryl Landsberry led the ceremony, which she created with input from Karlla and Isaac. There were a few “in jokes” included, and the guests commented afterwards that the ceremony was so “them”.

Photographer Romana captured some ceremony shots while the guests were dry and under cover, then took the couple out into the park as the rain clouds lifted for some keepsake photos.

The guests blew bubbles as the newlyweds waled back down the aisle, hand in hand.

Pop Up Wedding at The Lighthouse, Cleveland Point

This was my first wedding as a guest celebrant for the team at Pop Up Weddings Bayside. The package included ceremony styling by Miss Weddings, Bridal hair and makeup by Suzie at An Eye for Style Wedding Makeup & Hair Stylists, and photography by Romana Saeheng Photography and Graphic Design.

Knowing there would be a number of children attending their ceremony, Rachel and Sean set up a picnic blanket with colouring supplies to keep the youngsters quiet and entertained.

Rachel chose to add a number of nods to her religious upbringing to the ceremony, walking in to The Mission / How Great Thou Art by The Piano Guys, and including a bible reading by Sean's mum anda blessing by Rachel's brother who is a church pastor.

Another beautiful element added to this wedding was the welcoming of each other's daughters, with Sean's mum gifting a pendant to Rachel's two daughters, and Rachel's mum gifting a necklace to Sean's two daughters.

After the elegant ceremony, the group gathered for some family photos before heading to the deck of the Lighthouse Restaurant for a celebration dinner.

Pop Up Wedding at Fiction Bar and Restaurant, Raby Bay Harbour

The concept of a Pop-Up Wedding is a fairly recent phenomenon, but it is a concept which has become popular with couples looking for an easy and affordable wedding option.

The team at Elope Brisbane create a couple of Pop Up Wedding events each year, at different locations around Brisbane. Couples are able to save expense by sharing the set up costs with other couples by using the same venue on the same day.

Fiction Bar and Restaurant at Raby Bay Marina, Cleveland, was the setting for one such Pop Up Wedding package.

Both busy working long hours, Myrlie and Craig thought the Pop Up Wedding event at Fiction Bar and Restaurant at Raby Bay Marina looked like the perfect option for their wedding. They chose the lunch option for their celebrations. 

Suzie from An Eye for Style Wedding Hair and Makeup at Cleveland styled Myrlie's hair, then Steve from Kandid Kombi picked her up from the salon and transported her to Fiction Bar, where Mel from Miss Weddings had an arbour and chairs set up for the ceremony. A bouquet of flowers was provided for Myrlie, with a bouttoniere for fiance Craig.

Celebrant Cheryl Landsberry delivered a sweet and light ceremony for the couple, with photographer Romana Saeheng capturing pics of the couple, and then taking them on a photo shoot around the marina at Raby Bay.

The package included a lunch at Fiction Bar and Restaurant at Raby Bay Marina.

The wedding cake, which was also included in the package, was from our local cake artist, Simone from Cakes by Simone. 

The next Pop Up wedding date with the team at Elope Brisbane is 23/6/23 at Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island. This is a ceremony only package, with clients able to source their own meal locations on the island. Four elopement times are available, with two sittings booked, and a third in negotiation. The couple, with up to ten guests, are provided with ceremony styling, a celebrant to legally officiate at the ceremony, a photographer to capture the ceremony with family and couple photos to follow, and a dozen cupcakes. Niamh and Daniel chose the champagne breakfast time slot. Niamh was awake early, having her hair styled and make up applied by Suzie from An Eye for Style Wedding Hair and Makeup at Cleveland. Steve from Kandid Kombi picked up Niamh from the salon and transported her to Fiction Bar, where Mel from Miss Weddings had an arbour and chairs set up for the ceremony. A bouquet of flowers was provided for Niamh, with a bouttoniere for fiance Daniel.

Celebrant Cheryl Landsberry delivered a personalised and relaxed ceremony for the couple, with photographer Romana Saeheng capturing pics of the couple, and then taking them on a photo shoot to the Lighthouse Cleveland for some couple and family photos.

The package included a champagned breakfast reception back at Ficton Bar and Restaurant at Raby Bay Marina for thirty guests, with danishes, eggs benedict, fruit, juice, sparkling wine, and tea and coffee.

The wedding cake, which was also included in the package, was from our local cake artist, Simone from Cakes by Simone. 

Guests were home in time for a nice little afternoon nanna nap, and the team from Elope Brisbane reset and prepared for the lunchtime pop up ceremony.
