Cabarita Beach Wedding

Your beach wedding does not have to be traditional. The bride and groom for this wedding at Cabarita Beach wore matching Hawaiian outfits, and had their puppies as wedding attendants. Guests all wore beach wear. The ceremony was at 8am, before the heat of the day, and was followed by a cup cake breakfast. The ocean provided a most beautiful backdrop. Make sure your Cabarita Beach celebrant has an adequate P.A. System - the couple were thankful that mine enabled their ceremony to be heard above the crashing waves & coastal breeze and could also play their chosen song list.

Civil Partnerships are for couples regardless of their gender. A declaration ceremony can be celebrated anywhere in Queensland, with your Civil Partnership Notary lodging the documents with BDM.  Registration of a Civil Partnership gives a couple a legal recognition of their relationship. This may be practical for taxation, superannuation, medical, and social security purposes. However, a Civil Partnership Ceremony is also a personal and emotional expression of commitment between two people. Only one witness is legally required, however, couples can invite all their friends and family to celebrate with them. 10 days notice is required to be given before a Civil Partnership Declaration Ceremony.

Here's what Dyan and Sue said, "Thank you so much for making our civil partnersip ceremony such an amazing experience. It honestly felt like you rode the ride with us and your support was inspiring. It really felt like a family member officiated over our ceremony and I cannot thank you enough for encompassing our personalities, our lives and our love in a ceremony that few would understand. Thank you making it definitely one to remember."

This gorgeous couple chose the Tuscan Terrace for their ceremony, one of the three areas available for wedding ceremonies. The terrace overlooks the rolling, green hills at the winery.

The other areas available at for your Sirromet ceremony are the Arbour, in the midst of the vines, and the Laguna, set on the foreshore of the tranquil lake.

As your Sirromet marriage celebrant, Cheryl is able to co-ordinate with the wedding planners at Sirromet to ensure your rehearsal runs smoothly and your marriage ceremony is a joy.

Here's the feedback from the lovely bride above,
"Cheryl was everything and more we could've wanted from our celebrant. We were very picky in choosing our celebrant, and once we meet Cheryl, we knew, she perfectly suited us.
Cheryl has the ability to make us feel at ease, whilst being very intune to our ideas.
We loved Cheryl's humour and ability to coordinate big groups of people.
Thank you Cheryl, for making our day very special. xx"

Does the bride have to say "obey"?

In a civil Australian marriage, the bride must legally say,

"I ask everyone here to witness that I, take you, to be my lawful wedded husband"
or words to that effect.

The word "obey" is not required at all, much to the relief of many brides. Your local marriage celebrant will be able to offer you assistance in creating vows which are legal and meaningful to you.

Contact Cheryl www.cherylwedding.com if you are ready to prepare your ceremony.

How to obtain a marriage licence in Australia

First of all, there's no such thing as a marriage licence in Australia. In order to be married in Australia, a couple must lodge their Notice of Intended Marriage with an Authorised Marriage Celebrant at least a month before their intended wedding day. Your celebrant will have this form, or you can find one here: ttps://www.ag.gov.au/FamiliesAndMarriage/Marriage/Documents/Notice-of-intended-marriage.pdf

Your celebrant will also need to sight proof of date and place of birth before the marriage, and your divorce certificate if you've been married before.

Does the celebrant ask if anyone objects?

In the movies, there's always a tense moment when the celebrant asks the guests if there's anyone who objects to the marriage. And quite often, if it's a movie starring Owen Wilson or Steve Martin, there will be someone who chooses this opportune time to profess their heart-felt passions.

In the real world, however, celebrants rarely include this invitation. There's always a drunk uncle, dorky friend from the accounts department, or goose from the touch footy team who think after they've spoken, instead of before, so celebrants rob them of this opportunity.

Your ceremony will be full of only the right kind of surprises with this dicey question omitted.
