Micro Wedding at New Farm Park Rotunda

Chloe and Ashley travelled from regional Queensland with their family members for a city wedding weekend away. Their brief was for a garden party in the city, and chose the beautiful New Farm Park for their ceremony location.
They hired the team at Elope Brisbane to take care of the organising, and booked the Twenty is Plenty package.
Being fans of Bridgerton, the couple also arranged for a string quartet to play for their ceremony, which created a classic ambience. They played a mix of modern songs and classical music, my favourite being Beyonce’s Love on Top for the signing of the certificates.
Wallflower Floral provided beautiful, bright florals for the arbour and bouquet.

Forgoing a wedding party, Ashley asked his mum to present the wedding rings, and she was honoured to carry out this duty.
The couple chose the poem, The Eternal Song, which I had not heard before, but it was a very sweet choice.
During the ceremony, I told the story of the couple’s engagement. Ashley set about planning the perfect proposal during a trip to Japan in 2020. He was poised to propose at a dinner at a restaurant, but the food was just so awful, that he let the moment slide by. Later, he considered proposing at the top of a ski slope, but Chloe found the peak just too high to climb to. Next, he earmarked the TeamLab Museum, but there were just too many people crowding the area. Finally, the perfect moment was found, at the top of the Palette Town Ferris Wheel in Tokyo. It was one of those pear-shaped moments as the ring box jammed in Ashley’s pocket, and he had to keep Chloe distracted while trying to wriggle it free by pointing to random ships in the harbour in a Mr Beanish pantomime. Luckily, Chloe joyfully accepted the proposal, and their wedding planning commenced.
After some photos at New Farm Park, the group headed to City Winery for a reception dinner.

New Farm Park micro wedding

Hanna and Nick wanted bright flowers and a relaxed vibe for the intimate ceremony, inviting just their immediate families and a handful of friends. They asked the team at Elope Brisbane to create a low key, fun, and memorable ceremony for them.

Hannah and Nick's first home together was at New Farm, and so New Farm Park had a special significance for the couple. They decided to marry under one of the huge Fig trees at New Farm Park.

Steve from Kandid Kombi picked Hannah up and delivered her to the ceremony space in his colourful orange Kombi Van, Busta. Mel from Miss Weddings styled a hexagonal shaped white arbour with brightly coloured flowers and foliage, and set up Americana white chairs. Celebrant Cheryl Landsberry told the cute story of the couple's meeting and led them through a sweet and simple ceremony.

Hannah was ethereal in a beautiful lace and tulle wedding dress with blush underlay from When Freddie met Lilly. In this job, you get to see a lot of gorgeous dresses. But this one might just be the new favourite! Hannah carried a bouquet of natives from Little Miss Flower Shoppe.Nick wore a sage green suit. This colour is so appropriate for a garden wedding, and we're really loving it.
