Deb and Andrew’s wedding at the historic Grand View Hotel in Cleveland was the perfect example of this, as they celebrated their love with a relaxed, low-key affair surrounded by their nearest and dearest.Set under the shade of leafy Frangipani trees in the hotel’s charming courtyard, the afternoon was all about connection and comfort. Close relatives and lifelong friends mingled on the cobblestones, laughter echoing across the old brick walls that have seen many a story over the years. There was no fuss, just genuine smiles, friendly banter, and a sense of ease.
With the breeze coming off the bay and the sun casting dappled light through the trees, the courtyard provided a perfect backdrop for candid photos and catching up with family. Deb and Andrew kept formalities to a minimum, grinning at each other under the floral arbour, as I told the story of how they initially met at uni all those years ago, rekindling their friendship recently when they happened to reconnect in the workplace.
As Sunday afternoon rolled into evening, the group lingered, sharing stories and soaking in the relaxed vibes. It was a day that reflected the couple’s values—authentic, down-to-earth, and centred on the people they love most. This was a celebration that will be remembered for its warmth and sincerity.
