Wedding at The Lighthouse, Cleveland

Sasha and Josh chose to celebrate their wedding over the long weekend, making it easy for their friends and family travelling from interstate to join them for the occasion. Wanting a laid-back and informal atmosphere, they opted for a casual garden ceremony, selecting a picturesque spot right beside the iconic lighthouse at Cleveland Point.
The ceremony site was beautifully styled by the team at Beautiful Illusions, who set up a striking white, circular arbour adorned with autumn flowers in rich shades of burnt orange. As midday approached, the couple’s loved ones gathered around. Despite his best intentions to keep his emotions in check, Josh found himself wiping away tears as Sasha made her way down the aisle.
The ceremony itself struck a perfect balance between heartfelt and light-hearted. There was plenty of playful banter, and the guests found themselves alternating between laughter and tears as they witnessed Sasha and Josh exchange their vows.

After the ceremony, Andy from A Thousand Miles Photography organised everyone for a group photo, capturing the joy and excitement of the moment. The guests then made their way to The Lighthouse Restaurant for refreshing drinks, while Sasha and Josh took a moment for their newlywed photo session. Once the photos were complete, the couple joined their guests to relax and enjoy a lunchtime reception by the bay, sharing good food, wine, and company.

Natalie and Roman’s Heartfelt Micro Wedding at Redland Bay

Pop Up Weddings Bayside creates an intimate, stylish celebration for family and friends

When it comes to celebrating love, sometimes the smallest gatherings make for the most meaningful moments. Natalie and Roman’s micro wedding, expertly coordinated by Pop Up Weddings Bayside, was a beautiful reminder of the joy and warmth that comes from bringing together your nearest and dearest. With a serene woodlands park at Redland Bay as their backdrop, this couple’s special day was bursting with love, laughter, and genuine family connection.

If you’re searching for expert micro wedding coordinators in Brisbane, Pop Up Weddings Bayside is the premier choice for couples seeking intimate, stylish celebrations. Specialising in relaxed ceremonies with a family focus, Pop Up Weddings Bayside transforms beautiful outdoor locations across the Redlands with creative styling and seamless event management. Their experienced team delivers bespoke wedding experiences, from bamboo arbours and tailored floral arrangements to thoughtful touches for children and guests. Whether you envision a woodland park wedding or a bayside  ceremony, Pop Up Weddings Bayside brings your dream to life—stress-free and memorable, every time.

Tucked away in a private corner of Redland Bay, the couple’s chosen park felt like a hidden oasis. Towering trees, dappled sunlight, and the gentle sounds of nature set the scene for an intimate outdoor ceremony. It was the perfect spot—private, tranquil, and close to the heart of what mattered most: family.

Pop Up Weddings Bayside transformed the space with a stunning bamboo arbour, draped in flowing white fabric and adorned with arrangements of burgundy and dusty pink florals. The colours offered a striking contrast against the natural greens of the park, adding a touch of elegance and romance without overpowering the relaxed vibe. It was simple, stylish, and utterly breathtaking.

Natalie and Roman kept their guest list to those closest to their hearts—close family, dear friends, and their three children, all under five. With little ones taking centre stage, the ceremony was designed to be short, relaxed, and family-focused, ensuring everyone (big and small) felt included and comfortable.

The atmosphere was warm and joyful as the couple exchanged vows under the bamboo arbour. Pop Up Weddings Bayside thought of every detail, even providing a mat for the children to sit on, making sure they were part of the moment but also able to relax and play. It was a ceremony shaped by laughter, a few happy tears, and a genuine sense of togetherness.

Roman looked dapper in his burgundy checked sports jacket, paired with chinos and a matching burgundy tie. A pink and burgundy boutonniere added a fresh floral touch, tying him perfectly to the ceremony’s colour palette. Natalie stunned in an ivory dropped shoulder dress, her gold shimmery veil catching the afternoon light, and a gorgeous bouquet of burgundy and pale pink blooms in hand.

Their son Raph, just two, stole the show as ring bearer, dressed in burgundy trousers and a vest. The couple’s daughters were picture-perfect in pastel sequin and tulle dresses, adding sparkle and whimsy to the day. The whole family looked coordinated yet comfortable—just right for an outdoor celebration with little ones.

What made this micro wedding truly special were the thoughtful extras. From a dedicated mat for the kids to sit and play on during the ceremony, to Raph’s proud moment as ring bearer, and the adorable sight of the girls twirling in their pastel frocks—every detail was designed with family in mind. It was clear that Natalie and Roman wanted their children to be a central part of their big day, and Pop Up Weddings Bayside made that vision come to life.

After the heartfelt ceremony, the celebrations continued in the nearby park hall. Keeping things relaxed and fuss-free, the newlyweds and their guests tucked into delicious pizzas delivered straight to the venue. It was the ideal ending—casual, communal, and full of warmth, allowing everyone to unwind and savour the moment together.

Natalie and Roman’s micro wedding was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, family, and heartfelt celebration. With the help of Pop Up Weddings Bayside, they created a day that was stylish yet relaxed, focused entirely on the love they share and the little family they’ve built. It’s proof that when it comes to saying ‘I do’, sometimes less really is more.

Wedding at Wellington Point Farm

With lots of toddlers attending their ceremony, and their own tot being the guest of honour, Elisha and Patty requested a short and sweet wedding ceremony. Their three words to describe their ceremony vibe were Chilled, Rustic, and Party. Their playlist included songs by Jack Johnson, Crowded House, Angus & Julia Stone, and Norah Jones.

Wellington Point Farm is an icon in the Redlands – one of the last  working market gardens, and a favourite stop for locals to buy freshly picked seasonal strawberries. The farm has recently added a popular cafĂ© to the renovated market garden stall.

The lawn area at Wellington Point Farm was set out with wooden chairs for the guests, and florist Glenys created a beautiful ceremony backdrop from Eucalyptus foliage, King White Proteas, and white roses.

Flowergirls Bella and Penny walked down the aisle scattering dried flower petals, in twirly steel blue satin dresses. They were followed by bride, Elisha, looking stunning in a sequinned, fitted, one shoulder gown. She was accompanied by her proud parents. Ally sang Linger, by the Cranberries and played the guitar.

Their ceremony included plenty of personal references, including the couple’s love for their children and completing the Saturday Quiz together. As with most decisions in their life, they Scissors, Paper, Rocked Off (best of three turned into Golden Point) to decide who would read their vows first.

The couple walked back down the aisle to the explosion of confetti canons and cheers. The guests congratulated the couple before enjoying Strawberry Daiquiris and canapes on the lawn.

5 star review “Cheryl was our wedding celebrant in September 2025 and we could not be happier with having her play such an important part in our special day. In the lead up Cheryl's experience and calm was reassuring and helped us make clear decisions amongst all the choices available. She was adaptable and laid back, and at the same time professional and ceremonious. We highly recommend her services.”

Hannah and Levi’s Wedding at Sure Thing Chapel - A Family Focused Ceremony on a Stormy November Afternoon

  • The anticipation was thick in the air as dark clouds gathered over Capalaba on a hot November afternoon. Storms were forecast, and the humidity outside threatened to dampen spirits, but inside the air conditioned comfort of Sure Thing Chapel, everything was set for a beautiful celebration. The venue was a true oasis—a perfect choice for Hannah and Levi’s wedding day. The brief for the ceremony was family focused and relaxed, avoiding fuss and stress.

Levi cut a striking figure as he arrived, looking every bit the proud groom in a crisp white shirt paired with a bold red tie. His excitement and joy were palpable, and he greeted guests with a wide smile that set the tone for the day. He was followed down the aisle by son, Jimmy, nephews Sam and Diesel, daughters Blair and Aurora, and niece Jasmine. Hannah, radiant as ever, glided into the chapel on the arm of her mum in a stunning white wedding dress, its train trailing elegantly behind her. She held a bouquet of white roses, classic and understated, perfectly complementing her look.

The ceremony became even more meaningful with the presence of Hannah and Levi’s three children, standing with them as they pledged their love and commitment. The girls wore matching pink floral dresses, their excitement shining through as they watched their parents make their vows. Jimmy, their son, looked handsome in a white shirt just like his dad, shyly presenting the wedding rings.

As the couple exchanged vows, the atmosphere inside was calm and joyous, filled with laughter, tears and promises for the future. Guests were able to fully enjoy the ceremony, undistracted by the weather, grateful for the thoughtful choice of venue.

  • After a few family photos, guests enjoyed afternoon tea put together by Hannah’s mum, Leisa, with a band of willing helpers. Hannah and Levi joined their guests after some photos at Cleveland Point nearby.

Aleta and Dale’s Simple and Intimate Brisbane Wedding at Wilson Outlook Reserve with Views of the Story Bridge

Aleta and Dale’s Simple and Intimate Brisbane Wedding at Wilson Outlook Reserve with Views of the Story Bridge
On a cloudy Brisbane morning, Aleta and Dale said "I do" in a celebration as beautiful in spirit as it was in scenery. Their wedding was held at the Wilson Outlook Reserve, a hidden gem perched above the Brisbane River, offering iconic views of the Story Bridge and the city skyline. Wilson Outlook Reserve is one of Brisbane’s best-kept secrets, tucked away in New Farm. With lush lawns, flowering Jacarandas, and unbeatable vistas, it sets the perfect stage for couples seeking something simple yet spectacular. And this was the very location where Dale proposed to Aleta, asking her to be his wife.
Aleta and Dale’s approach to their wedding was all about authenticity. Their guest list was intentionally small, just close family and a handful of friends, which made every moment feel personal and meaningful.
Wearing an ivory dress with a long train and covered buttons down the back, Aleta walked along a simple footpath on the arm of her mother. Dale, waiting under a Jacaranda tree with the iconic Story Bridge as a backdrop, looked every bit the proud groom. The ceremony was short and sweet, filled with laughter, a few tears, and plenty of love. The city buzzed in the background, but for those few minutes, time seemed to stand still for the happy couple.

Aleta’s god-son and Dale’s god-daughter presented the wedding rings, and the couple’s mothers were witnesses for the ceremony, making it a family focussed occasion.
Following the ceremony, guests headed to Victoria Park Golf Club for a celebration lunch reception and a Mimosa or two.
If there’s anything to take away from Aleta and Dale’s special day, it’s that sometimes less really is more.
Dale left this most appreciated 5 star review on Google: "So i just had my wedding on November 1st and what a blast!! I cannot thank Cheryl/Celebrant and Ramana/Photographer and Event planner enough. Not only did these two lovely ladies treat us and our guests like family they have also calmed my wife Aleta before the weeks up coming to the ceremony as we had some last minute guests to add to the list which means we needed extra chairs. From the day we had met with Cheryl at her house she has made this such a smooth process answering dumb questions along the way to pulling off what seemed like the most fun, romantic moment in our lives. We have also just received our sneak peak photos which are absolutely amazing and we are now so eager to see the rest in due time when they are available."

Congratulations, Aleta and Dale! May your marriage be as full of joy and serenity as your wedding day by the river.
