Aleta and Dale’s Simple and Intimate Brisbane Wedding at Wilson Outlook Reserve with Views of the Story Bridge
On a cloudy Brisbane morning, Aleta and Dale said "I do" in a celebration as beautiful in spirit as it was in scenery. Their wedding was held at the Wilson Outlook Reserve, a hidden gem perched above the Brisbane River, offering iconic views of the Story Bridge and the city skyline. Wilson Outlook Reserve is one of Brisbane’s best-kept secrets, tucked away in New Farm. With lush lawns, flowering Jacarandas, and unbeatable vistas, it sets the perfect stage for couples seeking something simple yet spectacular. And this was the very location where Dale proposed to Aleta, asking her to be his wife.
Aleta and Dale’s approach to their wedding was all about authenticity. Their guest list was intentionally small, just close family and a handful of friends, which made every moment feel personal and meaningful.
Wearing an ivory dress with a long train and covered buttons down the back, Aleta walked along a simple footpath on the arm of her mother. Dale, waiting under a Jacaranda tree with the iconic Story Bridge as a backdrop, looked every bit the proud groom. The ceremony was short and sweet, filled with laughter, a few tears, and plenty of love. The city buzzed in the background, but for those few minutes, time seemed to stand still for the happy couple.
Aleta’s god-son and Dale’s god-daughter presented the wedding rings, and the couple’s mothers were witnesses for the ceremony, making it a family focussed occasion.
Following the ceremony, guests headed to Victoria Park Golf Club for a celebration lunch reception and a Mimosa or two.
If there’s anything to take away from Aleta and Dale’s special day, it’s that sometimes less really is more.
Dale left this most appreciated 5 star review on Google: "So i just had my wedding on November 1st and what a blast!! I cannot thank Cheryl/Celebrant and Ramana/Photographer and Event planner enough. Not only did these two lovely ladies treat us and our guests like family they have also calmed my wife Aleta before the weeks up coming to the ceremony as we had some last minute guests to add to the list which means we needed extra chairs. From the day we had met with Cheryl at her house she has made this such a smooth process answering dumb questions along the way to pulling off what seemed like the most fun, romantic moment in our lives. We have also just received our sneak peak photos which are absolutely amazing and we are now so eager to see the rest in due time when they are available."
Congratulations, Aleta and Dale! May your marriage be as full of joy and serenity as your wedding day by the river.
