Morning Wedding at the Courthouse Restaurant, Cleveland

Morning Wedding at the Courthouse Restaurant, Cleveland

School teachers Sammi and Aaron chose to marry during the school holidays. They decided on a morning wedding at the Courthouse Restaurant at Cleveland. The couple envisioned a super chill and authentic ceremony, keeping it small and intimate with just their closest loved ones.

Breaking with tradition, Sammi and Aaron decided to walk down the aisle together, along with their three young children. They chose the song, “Palaces of Montezuma” by Grinderman for their entrance. Very cool!

Aaron and Sammi met up with photographer, Steve Doyle, for some classic black and white photos at the historic Courthouse before the ceremony. Against the timeless black and white floor tiles, Steve captured some elegant pictures.

The couple decided to create a Love Letters and Wine Box during their ceremony. They placed their printed wedding vows and a copy of their wedding menu in this special keepsake box.

What an absolutely stunning wedding! It was such a joy to be surrounded by such a lovely family.

Sammi left this much appreciated review,

"Cheryl was warm and welcoming when we met her at our first appointment. She gave us so many options and suggestions for our ceremony.

Cheryl is very organised and we received a wedding checklist folder which really put our minds at ease when gathering information for our ceremony.

Cheryl brought a smile to everyone’s faces throughout our ceremony. Her calm nature helped me to get through those first few anxious minutes.

Brisbane Wedding Venue Cherbon Waters

Country style wedding venue near the Redlands

This is the stunning reception marquee at Cherbon Waters Garden Weddings & Marquee Receptions. This venue is just 20 minutes from my home, although it feels like it's out in the country. Being just 2 km out of the Redlands at Burbank, Cherbon Waters still qualifies for my fantastic local Redlands venue discount.

Rainy Day Wedding

Wet weather wedding at Suttons Beach Rotunda, Redcliffe

Despite best efforts to keep an eye on the forecast, sometimes weather events can just come out of nowhere. And this is exactly what happened on Tahni and Caleb’s wedding day.
Just days after the announcement of El Nino in Australia, we were hit with a brief but ferocious downpour. As the styling team set up the wedding arbour on the Redcliffe foreshore, the winds intensified. No amount of tent pegs and sand bags seem to hold the arbour in place. And the dark clouds started rolling across the sky as 3pm approached.

The team at Elope Brisbane consulted with groom, Caleb, and a quick decision was made to relocate the micro wedding a hundred metres up the beach, under the protection of the iconic Suttons Beach Pavilion.
As bride Tahni arrived, the rain had already started bucketing down. Guests under the pavilion were drenched by the sideways rain, driven in by the gusty winds. This couple, though, decided that nothing would stop them from becoming husband and wife, and decided to just, “Go for it”.
In a most memorable walk down the aisle, Tahni, under inside outed umbrella, powered along the path, determined to reach her man. Her windswept hair could not hide the grin on her face, as Tahni and Caleb laughed and embraced the craziness of the moment.

Celebrant, Cheryl Landsberry, asked the guests if they minded skipping the boring bits, then proceeded straight to the legally required aspects of ceremony. With a couple of, “I do’s” and the signing of some rather soggy certificates, Tahni and Caleb were legally wed in one of the most memorable ceremonies the Elope Brisbane team has seen.
The positive crew of the pair rallied around, holding fast the arbour, holding up protective umbrellas, and generally cheering and living in the moment.

Tahni and Caleb are planning a renewal of vows later in the year with a few more serene photos, but I just don’t imagine this will match their rather remarkable wedding in the rain.

Pop Up Wedding at The Lighthouse, Cleveland Point

This was my first wedding as a guest celebrant for the team at Pop Up Weddings Bayside. The package included ceremony styling by Miss Weddings, Bridal hair and makeup by Suzie at An Eye for Style Wedding Makeup & Hair Stylists, and photography by Romana Saeheng Photography and Graphic Design.

Knowing there would be a number of children attending their ceremony, Rachel and Sean set up a picnic blanket with colouring supplies to keep the youngsters quiet and entertained.
Rachel chose to add a number of nods to her religious upbringing to the ceremony, walking in to The Mission / How Great Thou Art by The Piano Guys, and including a bible reading by Sean's mum anda blessing by Rachel's brother who is a church pastor.
Another beautiful element added to this wedding was the welcoming of each other's daughters, with Sean's mum gifting a pendant to Rachel's two daughters, and Rachel's mum gifting a necklace to Sean's two daughters.
After the elegant ceremony, the group gathered for some family photos before heading to the deck of the Lighthouse Restaurant for a celebration dinner.

Wedding at The Courthouse Restaurant, Cleveland

Wedding at The Courthouse Restaurant, Cleveland
Margi and Adam chose the historic Courthouse Restaurant at Cleveland Point for the simple and elegant Spring wedding.
After meeting the couple at several local weddings, I was honoured when they asked me to be their celebrant.
With a nod to his heritage, Adam wore a sprig of Rosemary on his lapel, as did his groomsmen.
Margi looked sensational in a strapless gown with a fitted bodice.
The couple wrote their own vows, which were a perfect mix of sweetness and wit.
Musician Graham Hobson set the ambience for the classy event, singing as the guests enjoyed champagne on the lawn by the bay.

Wedding at Redland Bay Golf Club

Wedding at Redland Bay Golf Club

Anika and Martin first met when they were working their first part time jobs.
Martin was a Sandwich Artist at Subway, and Anika was the cute cashier at the Fish’n’Chip shop.

As soon as she lay eyes on the tall, blonde boy who worked in the shop next door, Anika was smitten. Sometimes their lunch breaks would coincide, and the two would chat easily.

Anika boldly asked Martin out on a date. They drove down to the bay and chatted for hours.

Before long, the two were a couple, and they started planning a life together.

Their wedding day at Redland Bay Golf Club was filled with the best things in life: family, friends, love, and laughter.

Wedding at Redland Bay Golf Club

Kayla and Scott’s wedding at Redland Bay Golf Club

Redlands locals, Kayla and Scott, chose Redland Bay Golf Club for their September wedding for the convenience and relaxed vibe they were looking for. The golf course is always green and beautifully maintained, making it a beautiful location for weddings. The benefit of having the ceremony and reception in the one location is also appealing to many couples.

When they first got together, Scott noticed Kayla’s focus on family and saw how important her family was to her. Kayla valued that Scott shared her values and placed a similar priority on family.
Her children were her major focus in life, so it was essential to Kayla that any man she had a future with needed to bond with her three children. They gave Scott the tick of approval, which was all Kayla needed to be sure that Scott was the one for her. Before too long, their daughter, Charlie arrived, and the kids instantly adored their new sibling.

Scott asked Kayla’s dad, Wayne, for his blessing for their marriage, and then let Lilly and Katie in on the secret. Scott then created a photo book of their life together. At their home, on their anniversary, he presented the book to Kayla. On the last page was printed, “Will you marry me?” and Scott dropped to one knee to propose. Kayla excitedly accepted, and they started to plan their beautiful wedding.

Tying in the family focus to their ceremony, the family created a sand ceremony, using green and white sands in a custom ordered vase of sand. The result is a sensational memory of their wedding day.
