Mid-week wedding on Straddie

Mid week wedding on Straddie
After being together for 15 years, this couple decided to marry on the beach. Being mid week, they had the beach to themselves. The couple chose a 10am ceremony time, which allowed for a few photos afterwards, followed by a lunch at the Straddie Pub.
Location: Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island
Coordination: Elope Stradbroke
Best dog: Riley
Chair hire: Miss Weddings

Micro Wedding at New Farm Park Rotunda

A wedding isn’t about the flowers, although the florals at this wedding were gorgeous. A wedding isn’t about the outfits, although this couple were cool and casual in crisp white linen. A wedding is about the atmosphere that a group of people create. G and T have learnt what’s important to them, and this was represented in the beautiful words they spoke to one another, and the adoring way they revere each other and everyone around them.

Brisbane baby naming ceremony

Brisbane Baby Naming Ceremony

Halle’s baby naming was a beautiful way to catch up with her parents, who I married in 2022.

The baby naming ceremony coincided with Halle’s first birthday celebration and was held at the couple’s home.
The family went to lots of effort, putting together a pink balloon arch for the ceremony.
They chose a song by Tim McGraw called, “My little girl”.
Three Godparents were appointed for Halle, and I presented them with certificates to remind them of their lifelong bond with Halle.

Micro Wedding at Drevesen Park, Manly

Micro Wedding at Drevesen Park, Manly

My second wedding for the year was a very sweet micro wedding for a second time around couple. With just their adult children and a couple of close friends attending, the ceremony was held at Drevesen Park Rotunda at Manly.
This couple has such an adorable Meet-Cute. The groom spotted a gorgeous lady in his favourite coffee spot, and asked the barista about her. He paid in advance for her next coffee. In an “only could happen in the movies” moment, they met up, found there was a spark between them, and fell madly in love.

Beach elopement at Straddie
My first wedding for the year was at Cylinder Beach on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) for Elope Stradbroke.
The couple chose the Sun Salutations package, which included this sunrise arbour from Miss Weddings.
With just their parents and children in attendance, the couple made it official in a very simple and relaxed ceremony.

Micro Wedding at Mount Coot-tha

Micro Wedding at Mount Coot-tha

Hazel and Zac added some personal touches to their micro wedding amongst the trees at J.C. Slaughter Falls at Mount Coot-tha. To carry their pooches, dressed cutely in tutus, they decorated a cart and filled it with bubble blowing machines. This was pulled along by Hazel’s sweet little sister, also dressed as a ballerina flower girl. Crafty Hazel also made both her own bouquet and Zac’s boutonniere. They chose pale green and purple as their colours, and chose flowers to match on the triangular shaped arbour from Miss Weddings.
Hazel chose to walk down the aisle with both her grandfather and her great-grandfather, which was just adorable. She chose the song, “All of Me” by John Legend. She wore a high low dress. Groom Zac wore a cream coloured suit. The guests all wore colours complementing the purple and light green theme.
To top it off, Hazel’s grandmother baked a cake with a surprise gift inside – a pewter marriage certificate holder!

Morning wedding at Lagoon View Nursery, Redland Bay

Morning wedding at Lagoon View Nursery, Redland Bay

Rebecca and Craig opted for a short and sweet morning ceremony with a super relaxed vibe for their November wedding.
Craig wore a gamer’s shirt, patterned with gaming controllers, and an ice blue bow tie, teamed with chinos and Vans. This reflected their quirky personalities and their shared interests. Rebecca was unconventionally bridal with a two piece outfit, matching a white sleeveless lace top with a mauve tulle skirt.

Rebecca wrote in her vows that she had found gravity with Craig.
Craig described their love story as a “choose your own adventure” book.
The couple chose songs from their favourite video games for the ceremony. For the processional, Rebecca walked in to “Garfront Mercenaries” from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The signing music was Zelda’s Lullaby, and the recessional music was “Still Alive” from Portal.
Their wedding was simple and genuine, perfectly reflecting their life together.

Thank you to Craig for leaving this 5 star review:
“Cheryl made our special day perfect. From the moment we had our first meeting she was so supportive, thorough and gave us a wedding information kit to make planning everything related to the ceremony easy. She was great with following up leading up to our special day and ensured she had everything she needed to cater the ceremony to our needs. I would highly recommend Cheryl to anyone looking for a celebrant for their wedding.”
